Estate management specialist MetroPM has been appointed to improve and look after 20 apartments in a popular Birmingham suburb.
The new contract has been commissioned by Yewdale (Harborne) Ltd to manage the Yewdale apartment blocks at 196 Harborne Park Road, which need a number of repairs and renovations.
Henry Arnold, property manager at MetroPM, which has offices in Birmingham and Cheltenham, said: “We’re delighted to have been asked to look after the Yewdale apartments.
“We have already reviewed all necessary compliance issues, advised on major works, retendered contracts and undertaken a full financial health check of the building.
“The directors of the property have for a long time wanted to refurbish the balconies around the estate, and so we have been holding weekly meetings virtually to move forward with that project.
“We have also been instructed to arrange roof works on blocks 1-12 following for a leak that had been ongoing for two years, but which we have now scheduled to be completed.”
Mr Arnold explained that MetroPM has also provided Yewdale with an updated fire risk assessment report, an insurance revaluation and servicing of the intercoms, to make sure the estate is brought up-to-date and functioning correctly.
He added: “We are working closely in partnership with the directors to provide expert advice on all matters.”
Thelma Osbourne, a director of Yewdale (Harborne) Ltd, said: “We are very impressed with the customer service orientated approach of MetroPM.
“We are very pleased with how quickly they have engaged with the issues at Yewdale, and like the way they communicate clearly with all parties.”
MetroPM was founded in 2006 by managing director Matthew Arnold. Through its offices in Birmingham and Cheltenham, the company provides residential service charge management for freeholders and clients across the UK.
