MetroPM appreciates the concerns surrounding the Government measures that have been introduced to deal with risks associated with COVID-19.

As a result of the introduction of these guidelines we will be providing regular updates on MetroPM’s compliance with them, and additionally how we plan to further support our customers and contractors.

MetroPM Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

Although MetroPM’s existing approach seeks to address most emergency situations; this may not always be a suitable response to the COVID-19 emergency.

As a result of this, we will continually review our compliance with Government issued guidelines, utilising all available documents provided by the Government. We plan to hold regular internal meetings to ensure our approach is in line with these guidelines.

In addition – our industry guidelines are led by ARMA and the IRPM.

Property Management

We continue to conduct business as usual; however, the government guidelines on critical works are quite definitive and do require all social distancing policies to be rigorously followed.

To reassure you of our approach, we have arranged for initial deep cleansing of all blocks and will continue to: –

  • Review the efficiency of cleaning within highly used areas, specifically arranging cleaning and sanitisation of door push plates, bannisters, lift buttons, door handles etc. please be aware that this cannot be fully effective. We must remind all customers (as well as our contractors) to follow government guidance and support our efforts.
  • If you are aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within your development, please advise us so that we can request the cleaning contractor to undertake an additional deep clean.
  • Make your managing agent and all visitors aware (including contractors and staff requesting access to your apartment) that you, or another member of your household are self-isolating. It would also be valuable to know when this isolation period ends.
  • Continue to instruct reactive works for the repair and maintenance of your development – alongside the existing proactive approach that seeks to ensure your development is safe and compliant with all Government guidelines.
  • Customers should be aware that MetroPM will continue to liaise closely with our contractors and suppliers.
  • We are currently still advising that all AGM’s and resident meetings are postponed at this time. In the event that postponing a meeting is not possible, we are providing conference call facilities/video calls via Zoom and Microsoft Team.
  • Where appropriate, property inspections are being undertaken, however, in some instances, this will be limited to the exterior of the building.

We will continue to follow all Government advice and we will adjust our approach, when this becomes necessary, to ensure the Health and Safety of all staff, residents and contractors is always maintained.
